what about barbeques when someone else is cooking the chicken? I usually eat the chicken but I am always making sure that it was thoroughly cooked! Are you concerned when someone else is cooking? Do you take any certain precautions?

Chicken is one of the most difficult meats to barbecue properly. Lots of people pre-cook the chicken and put it on the barbecue for a short while to get the barbecue flavor. People should use a meat thermometer to make sure the meat has reached the proper internal temperature. My brother’s wife cooked chicken once and we ALL got food poisoning because it had not been cooked thoroughly. No more pink chicken for me! (It was hard to see because the chicken was covered in gravy.)
