I live in Michigan and am very interested in attending a culinary arts cooking school in Hawaii since my future career dream is to be a chef and own my own restaurant. I was just wondering if there is any cons to this idea such as it costing too much and what steps should I take as a sophomore at high school to get me prepared and more able to achieve my future goals?
I’m still a little young to be thinking about college but I really want to know what you have a to do before you take the Culinary Arts course for college. I want to be a pastry chef too. Is there any kind of things you have to learn or prepare?
I don’t specifically need cook books. I want to know if there are any popular books out there that I can purchase from a close by bookstore that have information that can better help me in the field of Culinary Arts. Maybe books that can help me become more comfortable in the kitchen. Any ideas?

I heard in the grape vines there is a vegetarian friendly culinary arts school in London England…(most culinary arts schools are NOT vegetarian friendly.) Has anyone heard of this school and if you have do you know the website or contact info?
