Cook and sauce pasta like an Italian. You need good quality pasta, a large pan of salted water and a simple sauce. Italians like simple, seasonal sauces, good young extra virgin olive oil, freshly grated cheese. Add herbs but don&#8217;t cook them you will only loose flavor if you do. When the pasta is cooked -but very &#8220;al dente&#8221; &#8211; transfer it in the hot sauce and cook it a little longer in the sauce. Serve your pasta as a main dish, not on the side of meat or fish. Pasta is not a substitute for potato! From preparing the ingredients to finished dish, Tiedyeman shows how to cook shrimp with Alfredo sauce and pasta. Using mostly fresh ingredients to create a subtle blend of flavors that will be delicious and relatively easy to fix. This meal takes about 15 minutes to cook after the prep work is done. Please, try this at home!  Here&#8217;s an approximate list of ingredients for people that like to measure stuff while they cook:<br />
1 lb. shrimp<br />
2 tbsp butter<br />
3 to 6 pieces of fresh garlic<br />
1 pint half and half<br />
2 oz. Parmesan cheese<br />
1 tbsp flour<br />
1/2 cup water<br />
1/8 tsp basil<br />
1/8 tsp oregano<br />
1 lb package of pasta<br />
1/2 tsp salt</p>
