My weight is healthy and I have maintained it for many years (I have been vegan for 10 years). But I cook with a lot of oil. I recently analyzed my diet and found that a large percentage of calories were coming from fat. Is this unhealthy? How much fat is too much fat?
If you are maintaining a healthy weight, getting enough exercise, and don’t have any trouble with high cholesterol or heart disease, I don’t think you need to worry about it. You are probably still consuming far less fat than most people.

Your body need some fat to maintain a balance. Unless you deep fry every day I am sure you are doing ok. Have your cholesterol level checked if you are concerned.

you haven’t specified how much oil exactly are you using. you can have 1-2 tsp of oil per day. If you having more than that, you are probably having too much. I am vegetarian not vegan; but being vegan I guess u do need some oil and fat, as you don’t even eat dairy, so i guess its not too bad if you have upto 1-2 tsp. I have heard that olive oil is healthy too. Just don’t use too much.
